Inventory selector

The Worker Inventory Selector is a tool that lets you choose exactly which inventories your Pokémon deposit items into.

Crafting

Combine the following ingredients anywhere in the crafting grid (shapeless):

Ingredient
Paper
Red apricorn
String

Usage

Hold the selector and right-click an inventory to select it as a worker drop-off. Right-click it again to deselect it.

  • Chests, barrels, and other inventories can be selected, including modded ones. Double chests are selected or deselected as a whole.
  • A message above your hotbar and a sound confirm the change.
  • While holding the selector (in either hand), selected inventories near you are marked with a beam of particles that only you can see.
  • Inventories can only be selected within the working area of a pasture. If you try to select one outside of it, you will be told so and nothing changes.

How selection affects Pokémon

Selection is evaluated per pasture, based on the inventories inside its working area:

SituationWhere Pokémon deposit
No inventory has been selected anywhereAny nearby inventory (default behavior)
The pasture has no selected inventory in its working areaAny nearby inventory (default behavior)
The pasture has at least one selected inventory in its working areaOnly the selected inventories

Among the eligible inventories, Pokémon follow the usual inventory selection rules: the closest one first, moving on to the next if it is full.

NOTE: Once a pasture has a selected inventory in range, unselected inventories are ignored for that pasture. If every selected inventory is full, items are dropped on the ground rather than placed in an unselected inventory.

Persistence

Selections are saved per world. A selected inventory that is later removed or replaced with a non-inventory block is cleaned up automatically.
